| Hello Fellow Alumni: There will always be a very special place in my heart for Rancho High School. First of all, I was in the 1st graduating class and later, in life, I taught biology and health for twenty years at this school. The biggest disappointment has been the lack of interest and attention of our fellow ’57 classmates in not organizing our class reunions for the past twenty years. Four years, I decided to move out of Las Vegas to Nixa, Missouri. Hopefully, I will be able to meet and visit with my fellow class mates. | Joyce Webber Glines, married Rick Glines 1959. Four children, 19 grandchildren. One year BYU Provo/BYU Hawaii in Office Mgmt. Lived in San Diego, CA, Las Vegas, Westminster, CA, Richland WA, Bountiful UT, and Apia Western Samoa before moving to Cornelius, OR in 1971. Rick retired after 30 years of teaching in CA and Hillsboro High School Dist, OR. Joyce retired after 20 years as Admin Asst with Intel Corp in Hillsboro, OR. In 2005 we moved to Provo, Utah. We enjoy our family (Michigan, Kansas, Idaho, and Utah) and traveling, especially to Laguna Beach, CA and Tuscany, Italy. We spent 6 months as volunteers at the LDS Family History Library in SLC, and as Oregon/Washington State Park volunteers. |

| The first students at Rancho High started in the Fall of 1954. We had no building then, so we attended Rancho at the old Fifth Street School (now Federal Bldg) and shared the first yearbook with Las Vegas High. The first graduating class of Rancho is 1957 and the class of 1958 is the first four-year graduating class. The student’s names of the Class of 1958 are included in a time capsule in the cornerstone at the existing building of Rancho High. The first school colors were black and gold. The Class of 1958 graduated just under 200 students. |
